Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing

All royal icing recipes are just about the same, so I see! I’ve adapted lots of tips from the cookie pros! Here’s how I make my royal icing: Add 2 lbs of powdered sugar to your mixer. Mix in 5 tbs of meringue powder (any brand, you can find Wilton at Walmart, Michael’s, etc). Add 1/4 cup of light corn syrup and mix on low (adds a softer bite when the icing dries). While still mixing, to add 1/2 cup to 2/3 cup of warm water until it’s no longer clumpy and set speed to 6. Add 1 Tbs of real vanilla
