High voltage failure, unknown cause | Hyundai IONIQ Forum
Sep 8, 2023 · It has had diagnostic assessment at a Hyundai dealer with many fault codes, but despite a couple of hours of looking they have not found a root cause. They are suggesting it needs a new traction motor (cost of the part alone ~£4k), which they cannot fit themselves (small dealer with only a part time HEV technician), and cannot be sure that ...
NACS on 2025 Ioniq issue? | Hyundai IONIQ Forum
Dec 23, 2024 · The time frame previously announced for Hyundai access to the Supercharger network is suspiciously close to the most recent announcement for first retail deliveries of the updated Ioniq 5. My personal opinion is that is no coincidence and that they won’t deliver the updated Ioniq 5 to customers until it can charge at Tesla locations.
How does the 12v battery charge? | Hyundai IONIQ Forum
Jan 2, 2025 · I've replaced the old one on my Ioniq -19, 28kW, when the starter battery died (in cold Swedish winter, after leaving the radio on for 15 minutes). Now I've replaced the old one, but after leaving the car for about 10 days during Christmas with a quick change of parking space, the 12v (new one) was completely drained (100%).

A different 12V battery problem | Hyundai IONIQ Forum
Nov 2, 2024 · But, a few days later, a Hyundai VP called and informed me (I think it was a line of BS) that AAA has had issues with jumping EVs and has damaged a number of 12V batteries in the attempts to help. He claims there is a training video they provide to regional AAA when these issues arise, it supposedly demonstrates the proper way to jump an EV.
ICCU for dummies. Help with next step. Recall failed. - Hyundai …
Jul 13, 2024 · Hyundai would be well-served by solving this nagging ICCU design and fabrication problem for the sake of the dedicated and somewhat naive customers who love their Ioniq 5s and related Hyundai EVs. I have read a couple unverified reports of refreshed 2025 model year Ioniq 5s experiencing eerily familiar ICCU problems with as few as 800 miles!
Ioniq 6 performance in cold weather | Hyundai IONIQ Forum
Jan 18, 2025 · In these temps at 110kph I’m seeing about 23 kWh per 100 km on my Ioniq 5 with the 77.4 pack. Dropping to 100 kph helps but is so boring (put on a podcast). I’ll see about 260 km in mostly -5C highway driving.

Jan 22, 2025 · I recently learned of a new way to stop a charging session with the Ioniq 5 using the key fob. Press and release the Lock button and then press and hold the charge port door button. You will hear the clicks, the charge port lights will stop blinking and you can then release the plug with the power off.

Total confusion: Battery conditioning mode vs. Pre-conditioning
Dec 9, 2024 · The first Ioniq 5s had no option for battery conditioning, it was added in a dealer installed software update. Given that, I would say it is highly unlikely damage would occur by not using it, it will just charge slow until the temp of the pack rises.
