Two of these stores are shown above, including Spare Parts, a women’s accessories store, and Delphyne’s, a lingerie store. The project at 1800 Clybourn may be Chicago’s shortest-lived major commercial project since the Great Fire.

There was a Goldblatts, Kresge, Jupiter, Three Sisters (remember Three Sisters???) clothing store. There was a Robert Hall down the street. I know there were a lot of other stores, but I was less than 10 at the time, and can't remember any others.

The post about the suit store in Villa Park (Sym's!) brought back some memories of those old defunct department stores we used to shop at back in the day. Being in my mid-late 40s, "back in the day" for me is primarily the 80s and 90s. Was too young to really remember much of the 70s.
