San Diego State had a new starting quarterback in 2024. They're going to have another new one in 2025. Danny O'Neil, who became the first true freshman to start at QB for the Aztecs in their Division-1 history, is officially going to play at Wisconsin.

The San Diego State football team hosted 11 transfers over the weekend, and by Sunday afternoon the Aztecs received commitments from six of the players. On defense, SDSU added Grand Valley State (Mich.) edge Niles King, Utah State linebacker Tanner Williams and Chaffey College cornerback Carrington Pierce.

After another season of uninspiring quarterback play, Wisconsin could begin 2025 with an incoming transfer under center for the third straight year.
