Just weeks before his death in November, Suchir Balaji, a former OpenAI researcher, leveled serious allegations against the artificial intelligence company.

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A former OpenAI employee turned whistleblower was found dead in his San Francisco home. According to police, Suchir Balaji died from an apparent suicide. Originally, police were called to his home to perform a wellbeing check on Nov. 26. They arrived and found him already dead.

Suchir Balaji, 26, was found dead inside his Buchanan Street apartment on Nov. 26, San Francisco police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said. Police had been called to the Lower Haight residence at about 1 p.m. that day, after receiving a call asking officers to check on his well-being, a police spokesperson said.

The artificial intelligence start-up argues that Mr. Musk is trying to hamstring its business as he builds a rival company.

OpenAI just dropped a new blog post defending itself against Musk that outlines some new text messages between cofounders Ilya Sutskever, Greg Brockman, Sam Altman, Elon Musk, and former board member Shivon Zilis.

OpenAI responded to Elon Musk's lawsuit against the AI startup, arguing the billionaire suggested the company should have a for-profit structure and sought to control it.
