A team of forest rangers in New York state have rescued a moose who became trapped in an icy lake. New York conservation officials say a passerby reported seeing the moose fall through into the lake in a forested area near the Vermont border,

DEC forest rangers and environmental conservation officers had a dilemma Thursday. A moose fell through the ice of an Adirondack lake, 200 feet from shore.

According to local authorities, a bull moose was successfully rescued after falling through the ice at Lake Abanakee on January 16.
