Due to icy road conditions, several schools are announcing closings, delays or remote learning for Monday, Jan. 13.

As a winter storms works its way toward Hampton Roads, local leaders have announced closures and cancellations for weekend activities. Much of the region is under a winter storm warning through Saturday morning.

Wintry weather caused hazardous roads, with VSP reporting 37 crashes in Hampton Roads and nearly 400 statewide traffic incidents since midnight.

City offices, libraries, community centers and courts will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday. City employees with questions should check with their supervisors to determine their schedule expectations for the day.

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton Roads Transit will reduce services due to winter weather. On Saturday, Jan. 11, snow routes will go into effect. HRT will operate on limited, hourly bus service while the Tide light rail and Elizabeth River Ferry will run every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
