The Jacksonville Jaguars lost out on star Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson on Monday, with Johnson spurning the Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders to take the head coaching job with the Chicago Bears.

Presumably, the “setup” that Russini is referring to is the organizational structure, including the general manager position. It’s been widely known that a key factor in Johnson’s decision throughout this process was going to be having alignment with the general manager.

The Jaguars will miss out on Ben Johnson as their next head coach as he is instead heading to a different team.
