AUBURN, Ala. ( WAFF) - The Auburn Tigers were able to add to their shortlist of quarterbacks on Saturday, landing quarterback Jackson Arnold from the transfer portal. Arnold comes to Plains from Norman, Oklahoma after spending three seasons with the Sooners.

Auburn Tigers were plagued by poor quarterback play throughout a disappointing 5-7 2024 season. Senior Payton Thorne was benched after just-two games, having thrown five interceptions. However, his stint on the sidelines didn't last long.

According to College Sports Business and Transfer Portal Reporter for On3 Pete Nakos, the freshman will enter his name into the portal. The former 4-star prospect is a dual-threat quarterback out of Little Rock, Arkansas. Walker will leave an Auburn program that needs to improve significantly in 2025 for Hugh Freeze's sake.

The Auburn Tigers are looking to add talent, experience and depth in the defensive secondary, and Miami's (OH) Raion Strader fits the bill.

Arnold played nine games for Oklahoma this season, throwing for 1,421 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 444 yards with three touchdowns.
