Two former New York City police officers and members of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers were among the nearly 1,600 who received an extraordinary legal reprieve.

The Attorney General has now been tasked with ensuring all people who were convicted and currently imprisoned be released immediately. In addition, the AG has been directed to dismiss all pending cases.

Eleven CT residents who had been charged in connection with the Justice Department’s investigation into Jan. 6 were included in the pardon.
