A redacted indictment obtained by WUSA9 claims Officer Eddie Vasquez hit 115 mph while trailing a sedan in a section of town where the posted speed limit is 35 mph.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office told WUSA9 that the crash happened during a police chase that started in Virginia.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown said his office’s independent investigations division was at the scene of the vehicle collision near Route 301 and Port Tobacco Road in the town of La Plata.
