But after being outplayed and largely embarrassed for two periods on Saturday by the Vancouver Canucks in the finale of their homestand, the Rangers got two third-period goals by Jonny Brodzinski to pull out an unlikely 5-3 victory over the Canucks at the Garden that kept them from getting swept on the homestand and kept their hopes alive in the playoff race.

J.T. Miller took the high road. Despite his ugly Canucks departure, the Rangers center only had praise for his former organization.

Some of J.T. Miller’s best friends, including Conor Garland and Thatcher Demko, are still with the Canucks. He’ll get dinner with several of his former teammates Friday evening. Don’t expect any friendly feelings to extend into the Canucks-Rangers game Saturday.
