WellNOW Urgent Care has announced that it has reached an agreement to return to the Excellus BlueCross BlueShield insurance network. As of5, 2024, Excellus BCBS patients who visit any of WellNow’s urgent care clinics can use their insurance without paying any out-of-network fees.

The two companies released a joint statement Monday announcing a new provider contract agreement had been reached.

WellNow Urgent Care has confirmed that it will once again be accepting BlueCross BlueShield insurance beginning in November. On Monday, Nov. 11, WellNow announced that it has implemented a new provider contract agreement with Excellus BCBS to provide coverage to patients with a benefit plan through the health insurance agency.

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield will once again be accepted at WellNow Urgent Care. On Jan. 1, the insurance was not accepted at the urgent care centers due to a contract disagreement. Following a new provider contract agreement,

WellNow and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield agreed on a new contract Monday, ending a stalemate that has blocked Excellus members from in-network access to WellNow’s urgent care centers for the past 10 months.

After a months-long negotiation, Wellnow Urgent Care and Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield have reached an agreement. Per information from Excellus obtained by NewsChannel 9 Monday afternoon (see below) as of Friday5,
