茨城交通は、特定自動運行旅客運送による営業運行を2025年2月3日から開始する。専用道区間約6.1キロにわたって中型バスでレベル4（特定条件下での完全自動運転）の自動運転を実施。国内最長距離でのレベル4運行となる。
