Once Iowa State men's basketball got going late in the first half, the Cyclones hardly looked back in a lopsided win over visiting Omaha.

The Cyclones and Mavericks were tied, 21-21, with 6:57 left in the first half, but the defense finally clicked into place, igniting a 20-2 run that fueled a sloppy and often sluggish 83-51 men’s basketball win.

Iowa State took care of business in Hilton Coliseum on Sunday, winning by a final score of 83-51. Early on it appeared the Cyclones had a big of big-game hangover, as the offense was sluggish and gave the ball away more than Coach Otzelberger and his staff would like.
