In a statement Tuesday, the families of Samantha Chun and Joseph Fujioka said “both kids were born and raised in Hawaii and know and love the ocean.”
Search continues for missing teens on Oahu's North Shore
HONOLULU (Island News) -- First responders resumed their search Sunday morning for 17-year old Samantha Chun and 18-year old Joseph Fujioka. They were last seen at a Mililani convenience store on Friday. Their belongings were found at Ke iki beach on the North Shore of Oahu Saturday morning.

KE IKI, Hawaii (KHON2) — Multiple Honolulu agencies are searching for two missing swimmers at Ke Iki Beach on Oahu’s North Shore. First responder agencies Honolulu Fire Department, Honolulu Police Department and Ocean Safety responded to the incident around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18.
