Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker continues to mince no words about President Donald Trump’s promise to begin his mass deportation plan in Chicago this week. Pritzker said he’s not heard anything from the White House about what immigration enforcement might look like.

Republicans in Springfield are calling on Pritzker to repeal the Trust Act, which bars Illinois law enforcement from engaging in immigration enforcement, but Chicago Deputy of Mayor of Immigrant, Migrant and Refugee Rights Beatriz Ponce De León said the city won’t bend when it comes to protecting the Chicago’s hardworking immigrant communities.
