A Filipino woman who was on death row in Indonesia — and was nearly executed by firing squad in 2015 — was moved late Sunday to a female prison in Indonesia’s capital, from where she will be flown back to her home country.

Indonesia will transfer Mary Jane Veloso, a Filipino woman who was sentenced to death for drug trafficking, to her home country in the early hours of Tuesday morning, a senior Indonesian official said.

A Filipina inmate sentenced to death in Indonesia was moved to capital Jakarta before she is expected to fly home on Wednesday, after the government signed an agreement to repatriate her.She told AFP on Friday in her first interview since the repatriation agreement that her release was a "miracle".
