India is celebrating its 76th Republic Day with a colorful parade displaying its military might and cultural diversity at a ceremony on a boulevard in the heart of country’s capital.

A daredevil unit performed and some 40 aircraft, including 22 Indian Air Force fighter jets, participated in an air show across a clear sky.

Christian institutions and churches across India commemorated the nation’s 76th Republic Day with flag-hoisting ceremonies, cultural programmes, and special prayers for the country’s well-being and progress.

Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (East) Jaideep Mazumdar and Lt Gen Bhavnish Kumar GOC, Delhi area, commended the Indonesian marching and band contingent from the Indonesian Armed Forces for their successful participation in the 76th Republic Day parade on Tuesday.
