According to NOAA, cold-stunning is a condition where sea turtles become very weak or inactive after being exposed to cold temperatures. A similar phenomenon is seen in iguanas. These terrestrial reptiles can fall from trees after being cold-stunned during cold snaps.

A pair of wildlife officers in Florida rescued 30 cold-stunned sea turtles amid unusually low temperatures in the region.

Florida center Micah Handlogten, who gruesomely broke his left leg in the Southeastern Conference championship game last March, is contemplating playing this season. Handlogten decided earlier this week to forgo a redshirt and return to the court beginning Saturday against rival Georgia.

Florida's Micah Handlogten has been cleared to return and will have final say in whether he plays this season or waits for the next one, coach Todd Golden said.
