As a cold snap takes over Central Florida and sends feels-like temperatures into the 20s and 30s, counties all over the area are opening warming shelters to protect those in need. Here's a list of cold weather shelters opening soon.

TAMPA, Fla. — As cold temperatures sweep the Sunshine State, several counties across Tampa Bay are opening cold weather shelters to provide a warm space for those experiencing homelessness or people without adequate heat who have nowhere else to turn. 10 Tampa Bay is providing a list of cold weather shelters across all counties in the area.

Austin's cold weather shelters will be open overnight Thursday as temperatures are expected to hover around the low-to-mid thirties Thursday night into Friday morning.

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - As temperatures continue to plummet, Sarasota County is opening up cold weather shelters. If you go to a shelter, please note you will need to bring your own sleeping materials. Cold weather shelters will be offered this evening, Jan. 23, and Friday, Jan. 24, at the locations below:

A DeLand shelter will open its doors tonight, Jan. 22, to people seeking refuge from the cold weather. People can go to The Bridge at 421 S. Palmetto Ave. starting at 6:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served before the shelter closes at 8 a.m. Thursday.

The Homeless Services Network of Central Florida announced Thursday morning that it is expanding access to cold weather shelters in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.
