Authorities issued an AMBER alert for Jace Saunders Monday morning after his grandmother, 50-year-old Kelly Dasilva, was believed to have kidnapped him after workers with the Department of Children and Families tried to place the child in their custody. Hours after the alert was issued, the grandmother turned herself in.

This is a cancellation of the Florida AMBER Alert that was activated on Sunday for 5-year-old Jace Saunder; the child has been located safe. If you would like further information, please call the Tavares Police Department at 352-343-2101.
