Police continue to ramp up patrols along the Corpus Christi Bayfront after a series of viral videos show drivers turning Shoreline Blvd. into their own drag strip.

Parking lots along the Bayfront are marked with tire tracks where you will see some of this dangerous activity taking place, but on Friday night the lots were empty.

A horror crash has claimed the life of a passenger and closed part of Tonkin Highway, while another accident in Bayswater has left traffic heavily banked up.
