The Samford women's tennis team picked up a 4-3 win over Jacksonville State Friday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center.

Led by Jaden Brownell's 18 points, the Samford Bulldogs defeated the Wofford Terriers 77-61. Lukas Walls added 12 points for Samford (17-4, 7-1 Southern Conference).

The Australian Open is a Grand Slam tournament held live from Melbourne for two weeks in January, finishing on Australia Day. Founded in 1905, women have been competing in the Aussie Open since 1922.
