Work on the last, fourth, is almost finished, and probably for this reason, layoffs were carried out in the Rocksteady studio responsible for the project.

That news came after Warner Bros. declared Suicide Squad to be a financial disappointment in February last year, with the game representing an embarrassing $200 million loss for the company's gaming division. There's only so much Hogwarts Legacy can do to offset a loss like that.

That’s according to Eurogamer, which said it had heard the news from half a dozen impacted employees. The cuts reportedly took place at the end of last year, impacting some programmers, artists and QA staff.
