Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard briefly went out of the game, then returned to find the end zone in the College Football Playoff semifinal against Penn State on Thursday night at the Orange Bowl.

Notre Dame trails Penn State 10-3 at halftime of the Orange Bowl, with a spot in the National Championship Game against the winner of tomorrow night’s Texas-Ohio State game on the line. But the Fighting Irish might be without starting quarterback Riley Leonard for the rest of the game.

Notre Dame QB Riley Leonard left the game for the rest of the second quarter. The ESPN broadcast reported he was evaluated for a head injury, and Irish coach Marcus Freeman said at that point he was ‘asymptomatic.
