USC has won the most Heisman Trophy awards, with eight recipients. The most recent winner is quarterback Caleb Williams, who received the award in 2022. USC is followed by Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame, each with seven winners. The 2024 Heisman Trophy ceremony will air on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET on Dec. 14. It can be streamed on ESPN+.

Including Berwanger up through last year’s Heisman winner and No. 1 overall pick, Caleb Williams, 25 players have been the top draft pick after winning the Heisman. That includes five of the last six, dating back to Baker Mayfield in the 2018 draft. Devonta Smith, the 2020 Heisman winner, went 10th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
