A cold and raw wind-driven rain will impact most of the region, with Marion, Alachua, and northern Flagler counties seeing icy conditions overnight into Wednesday morning.

Meteorologist Dr. Ryan Truchelut, of Tallahassee-based WeatherTiger, is tracking a Florida winter storm for the ages in a livestreamed forecast.

A major storm spread heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain across parts of Florida, resulting in a "once in a lifetime" experience for one Tallahassee couple and their two kids who got up early Wednesday to enjoy the snow.

Forecasters said it was too early to tell whether the ice and snow would approach or beat Tallahassee’s all-time snowfall record of 2.8 inches set in 1958.
