At about 9 p.m., firey debris was spotted in the western sky for almost a minute. After reviewing the footage and looking into meteor reports, the debris was likely space junk, possibly a Starlink satellite scheduled for re-entry.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) — Dry conditions have created an increased fire risk in southern Wisconsin. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office said Columbia County is experiencing multiple outdoor fires Wednesday due to very dry conditions and wind. The sheriff's office is asking all citizens to cease and avoid burning.
Agencies in the counties of Columbia, Dane and Dodge are fighting multiple outside fires Wednesday afternoon. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office warned in a Facebook post around 1:45 p.m. that the dry conditions and wind have caused the fires.
