After a weekend of reprieve allowing fire teams to continue making progress battling the deadly infernos burning in Los Angeles County, Southern California now faces another round of fire-fueling Santa Ana winds.

As winds across the Southern California area are calmer than their peak and firefighters are making progress, the threat to the fire-weary region remains with Santa Ana winds expected to continue in the coming days.

Multiple counties in Southern California were under red flag warnings from the NWS early Monday, with the service warning of yet another round of Santa Ana winds.

One of the biggest stories of 2025 thus far has been the wildfires in California. A common occurrence in that state, wildfires are often fueled by a combination of drought and terrain. The terrain allows for the development of Santa Ana winds that cause any fire to spread very quickly.

Official lineups were announced Tuesday for the FireAid Los Angeles County wildfire relief concerts this month at two Inglewood venues.

A "particularly dangerous situation warning'' has been issued for L.A. and Ventura counties due to dangerous winds and very low humidity.

More musical acts have been announced for the FireAid benefit concerts being held Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, Jan 22.
