Red Wings sign longtime Griffin, place veteran on IR
DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings have signed right wing Dominik Shine to a two-year contract and recalled him to the team. He is available to make his NHL debut tonight against the Los Angeles Kings. Shine, 31, leads the Grand Rapids Griffins with 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) in 40 games.
