TALLAHASSEE --- Senate President Ben Albritton on Monday suggested phasing out a decade-old law that allows some undocumented immigrant students, known as "dreamers," to receive in-state tuition rates at Florida universities and colleges.

For a decade, children brought into the country illegally by their undocumented parents could enroll in a state college or university for the same fee as in-state residents, if they attended a Florida high school for three years.

Senate President Ben Albritton said he would like to phase out the 2014 state law that has allowed young undocumented immigrants to pay in-state tuition rates.
