La Vibora, the longtime bobsled-style coaster, opened in 1986. El Diablo, a giga loop coaster, was in operation since 2019.

The plan is to spend half a billion dollars in 2025 and 2026 to add new rides, themed areas, food options and upgrade their technology. Arlington’s Six Flags Over Texas is one of seven parks getting a new roller coaster, in this case, the kind with one or more near vertical drops.

Six Flags is investing $1 billion for park improvements over the next two years. A new roller coaster is to replace two rides in the Arlington park.
