Director Sanjay Gupta recently shared that Amitabh Bachchan wasn’t his first choice for the role, but it was Sanjay Dutt who suggested casting the legend in the film.

Director Sanjay Gupta recalled visiting Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa to narrate the script of Kaante. Speaking on a podcast, the filmmaker mentioned how Sanjay Dutt suggested that Amitabh Bachchan should be cast in the film.

Sanjay Gupta revealed his experience of narrating Kaante to Amitabh Bachchan at his home, he recalled going through a staircase full of Big B's black-and-white photos.
