"I think there's a certain heartfelt-ness to this season that maybe we haven't seen in others. There's a certain sensitivity to everybody in the pods this season," Nick Lachey tells PEOPLE of the Minneapolis-based cast Love Is Blind season 8 is almost here — and Nick and Vanessa Lachey want fans to know it's different than past seasons.

"You know, it's funny, we were just on the Kelly Clarkson Show and she was like, 'That's just him being an artist on tour,'" Vanessa continued. "Like when it's late night, the show's over. It's 11:30, 12:00, and you're hungry? It's Hooters, that's all that's open. Or Waffle House. But there was no Waffle House in Jersey."

While the 98 Degrees singer doesn’t love Vanessa pointing out the gap in teenage years, he doesn’t care about the difference as adults. “Seven years feels like seven months,” Nick said. “When you get to be [at] this point in life, seven years is nothing.”
