The British Government has named the 36 winners of the 2025 Marshall Scholarships. They will begin graduate studies at 13 universities across the UK next September.

The recipients were selected out of 983 applicants and are accompanied by 33 other students from universities across the country. The Marshall Scholarship is a full-ride program for American undergraduates that covers up to three years of graduate study in the United Kingdom.

NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association of Marshall Scholars congratulates the 36 winners of the 2025 Marshall Scholarship recently announced by the British Government. Marshall Scholars represent outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and ambassadorial potential that help deepen the U.S.-U.K. relationship.

Laila A. Nasher ’25, Ryan H. Doan-Nguyen ’25, and John Lin ’25 — were named Marshall Scholars on Monday, per a British consulate press release.

Mónica Ruiz House graduated from UChicago in 2024 with a quadruple degree in law, letters and society; sociology; Romance languages and literatures; as well as Latin American and Caribbean studies. She was named a 2025 Marshall Scholar on Dec. 16.

A young man from Hawaiʻi Island who attended Princeton was announced as one of the scholars. Travis Andrade is the second scholar in a row to hail from Hawaiʻi Island's east side.
