WORCESTER — Restaurateur John M. Piccolo was arraigned on an assault charge Friday in connection with a November incident at City Hall in which a local activist was hit with spray paint outside a City Council meeting.

An activist spray-painted by a Worcester restaurant owner called the incident the "first political-based violence in Worcester since [President-elect Donald] Trump was [re-elected].”

The man accused of spray painting another man in the face in Worcester City Hall last November appeared in court Friday.John<a class="excerpt-read-more" href=" More
