NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metropolitan Nashville and its surrounding counties are activating cold weather shelters as a significant snowstorm is expected to cap off a cold week in Middle Tennessee. Here is a list of shelters available in Midstate:

Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and Sarasota counties are opening their cold weather shelters on Monday and Tuesday.

The Salvation Army, located at 417 Rutherford Road in Greenville, opens its cold-weather shelter when overnight temperatures drop below 40 degrees. The Salvation Army of Greenville is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Click here to donate to the Salvation Army of Greenville, Pickens, and Oconee.

Several cold weather shelters are opening their doors this week in Escambia County as a cold weather advisory is in effect. The National Weather Service of Mobile issued a cold weather advisory to begin Monday night through mid-morning on Tuesday.

For the week of Jan. 5-11, the cold weather shelter is located at Trinity Lutheran Church, 705 Wilson Ave., Tullahoma, 37388 Starting Jan. 12-18, the shelter will be at Cedar Lane Church of Christ, 1200 Cedar Lane, Tullahoma, 37388 Jan. 19-25: First Presbyterian Church, 204 E. Grundy St., Tullahoma, 37388

Volusia will open a shelter Monday through Wednesday, too. Temperatures are expected to dive into the mid-30s.
