Tesla has issued its eighth recall of its sharp-angled electric Cybertruck, this time stemming from the risk of a trim panel that can detach while driving. In a report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,

Tesla, led by Elon Musk, has recalled over 46,000 Cybertrucks in the US over concerns a stainless steel trim panel could detach while driving.

The recall covers Cybertrucks built from November 2023—the beginning of the vehicle's production history—through February 2025. Though the NHTSA report says 46,096 vehicles could potentially be impacted, Tesla estimates that only 1% (about 460 vehicles) are affected in the same document.
