Fuel tanker drivers at Edinburgh Airport have called off a strike over the festive period after agreeing a new pay deal. NorthAir workers had said they would walk out for 19 days over Christmas and New Year after rejecting a 4.5% pay increase.

Fuel tanker drivers at Scotland’s largest airport have announced 19 days of strikes across Christmas. The workers employed by North Air, which supplies fuel to airlines operating at Edinburgh airport, will take continuous industrial action from 5am on December 18 to 5am on January 6.

The Unite union says some long haul flights from Edinburgh could be disrupted unless North Air comes back with a better offer.
