Sri Lanka have named an 18-member squad for their home two-match Test series against Australia. The Lankan Lions have listed two uncapped players alongside three injury doubts. Both the matches are set to be played in Galle with the first one beginning on January 29.

It then came to light hours before the toss of the coin on Wednesday afternoon that selectors have made the call to hand Josh Inglis his Test debut — at Konstas’ expense. Inglis has been called in to bat in the middle order and it is a decision that Bharat Sundaresan suggested had been the plan all week.

The rainy weather conditions have given Australia a selection problem for the opening test against Sri Lanka starting Wednesday, although one thing seems certain: Travis Head will open the batting.
