The PGA of America's board of directors has approved a plan to give U.S. players a stipend while increasing separate charitable money for those who participate in the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.

While noting that “no players asked to be compensated,” the PGA of America announced an increased payment which includes a charitable donation plus a stipend.
