Estonia has taken a firm stance against the Georgian government, announcing sanctions on more than a dozen top officials, including the Georgian prime minister. The move comes after widespread reports of violent crackdowns on pro-European protesters in Georgia.

Estonia on Sunday imposed additional sanctions on Georgia's political leaders in response to the violent suppression of pro-EU protests in the country related to recent parliamentary and presidential elections.

The European Union intends to impose sanctions on Georgian diplomats responsible for the use of force against demonstrators. The EU's chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas, announced that the list of individuals to be sanctioned "is already ready.

Lithuania and Estonia have imposed sanctions against Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and several government officials, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budris announced on X on Dec. 15.

Estonia has imposed sanctions on the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. Additionally, 13 more Georgian officials and judges have been added to the sanctions list, informs the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
