The Arizona senator said his Tesla is a “rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people.”

Standing near the U.S. Capitol, the Arizona Democrat echoed the growing sentiment of many left-leaning Tesla owners, who have come to regret that the electric vehicle is so closely aligned with the man spearheading President Donald Trump’s mass layoffs in the federal workforce.

Kimbal Musk, the brother of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, has been offloading shares of Tesla in recent months just as the stock has made a massive retreat from all-time highs. The electric vehicle maker, however briefly, had been among the select group of trillion-dollar companies following the stock’s post-U.S. presidential election surge.
