Tesla has issued its eighth recall of its sharp-angled electric Cybertruck, this time stemming from the risk of a trim panel that can detach while driving.In a report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,

This is the eighth recall the stainless-clad vehicle has collected in the mere two years it’s been on the road. But unlike many of its previous offenses, this is one of the first significant body repairs that can’t be addressed with a simple over-the-air update.

Pieces of the Cybertruck's steel trim could fly off because of adhesive "susceptible to environmental embrittlement," according to a recall notice.
