Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid exited the second period of his team's 4-3 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night. McDavid didn't return for the third period after skating off gingerly with what the Oilers labeled a lower-body injury.

Kyle Connor scored 1:13 into overtime to lift the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers, who lost Connor McDavid and Stuart Skinner to injuries.

Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch spoke briefly after the game regarding Connor McDavid’s injury after the star center exited Thursday night’s 4–3 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets. McDavid left the game late in the second period after taking a hit near the ribs from Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey while chasing a puck into the offensive zone.
