The Buffalo Bills owned the AFC East for five straight years. That streak died in Week 17 with the 13-12 loss to the Eagles, and just like that, the division flipped back to the New England Patriots. Here’s the gut punch — the Bills are the first team in NFL history to win five-plus consecutive division titles without making a Super Bowl.
Buffalo has clinched a playoff spot but their Week 18 matchup against the Jets and two other games will determine if they remain the No. 7 seed or climb to No. 5 or No. 6.
The Bills are locked into a wild-card spot but can move up in the standings and can still play six different teams in the first round.
The playoffs haven't arrived just yet, but we might be in store for a Super Bowl preview on Sunday. Follow along for live updates from Sunday's Eagles-Bills game.

The Bills decided to be aggressive against the Eagles and it cost them. Buffalo's two-point attempt to win Sunday's game outright instead of going into overtime ultimately allowed the New England Patriots to claim the AFC East crown, because Josh Allen misfired when it mattered the most.
Looking forward, though, the Bills have been labeled a team that could make a massive splash trade for a star edge rusher. Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report names the Bills as a team that should make the blockbuster move, sending a pair of first-round picks, a fourth round pick, and wide receiver Josh Palmer to Las Vegas.
