Amazon Prime Video scraps AI-powered TV show recap

Eligibility is limited to U.S.-based customers who enrolled in Prime between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, through certain sign-up flows flagged by the FTC. There’s another catch: You must have used Prime benefits — like free shipping or streaming — three times or fewer in any 12-month period after signing up.
Amazon Prime users who unknowingly signed up for the monthly service may be eligible for a payment as part of a $2.5 billion settlement. The online shopping giant and the Federal Trade Commission agreed to a settlement stemming from claims that Amazon violated FTC rules by “knowingly misleading millions of consumers into enrolling in Prime.”
Qualifying customers could receive up to $51 in subscription fee refunds. To be eligible, customers must be United States-based Amazon Prime members who enrolled through what the settlement calls a “challenged enrollment flow” between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, the report said.
Amazon extended its $250 Prime Visa gift card bonus for Prime members, and it still triggers instantly at approval with no spending requirement.
As a reminder, all of the free games that you claim through Prime are yours to keep forever, even if your subscription expires. If you aren't a member yet, you can sign up for Amazon Prime for as little as one month to take advantage of the subscription and its freebies.
