Pilot, paramedic, nurse taken to hospital

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded Monday night to a helicopter crash near the New Hanover / Pender county line.
The chopper had left New Hanover Regional Medical Center and was returning to its base at Albert Ellis Airport.
A Novant Health spokesperson said three team members were on board the helicopter. All three were being taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Details are limited at this time, but according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, all passengers are accounted for.
