A U.S. Army installation in Georgia was locked down after a person was shot and killed in what base authorities described as an isolated incident

Fort Eisenhower was locked down Saturday morning following an active shooter incident that resulted in the death of one person in on-post housing.

A U.S. Army installation in Georgia was locked down on Saturday morning, but then given an “all clear” less than an hour later as the base said “the dangerous event had passed.” A short time later, the operations center said the threat had passed and that normal operations could resume.
